Your Ruby Sisson Library offers a variety of Library programs and services. Please pick up a print calendar from the Library or view our online calendar for the most up-to-date information.
Descriptions of some of our programs can be read below.
Tech Time (in person, by appointment). We are happy to help you resolve your basic technology questions related to computers, smartphones, tablets and other devices. Fifteen to thirty minute appointments are available. Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 12 – 1 pm. Contact the Library to make an appointment.
Free Legal Clinic (by appointment). Our volunteer attorney will answer legal questions in all areas of civil law. This legal clinic takes place the second Friday of every month at 2 pm. You may visit with the attorney via Zoom at the Library, or the attorney can contact you via phone.
PALS – GED and College Prep Assistance (by appointment). Pagosa Adult Learning Services, or PALS, is a program designed to help you earn your high school equivalency, take an important test to advance your career or get into college. Ruby’s Book Club. Your Library hosts a monthly book club on the second Tuesday of every month at 2 pm. We are currently meeting virtually via Zoom. Please click here for a list of the books we are currently reading and a link to our monthly Zoom meeting.
Spanish Conversation. Join us virtually to practice your Spanish conversation skills in a group setting. We are currently meeting virtually via Google Meet. Please see our print or online calendars for dates and times of upcoming meetings of Spanish Conversation. The calendars also include information about how to join the meeting with Google Meet. DIY. Each month the Library hosts a DIY craft. DIY craft tutorial videos are available via Facebook or the Library’s DIY page. New videos are usually posted on the third Friday of the month. DIY take-and-make kits are usually available to pick up at the Library on the third Friday of the month, so you can enjoy making some of the useful and fun crafts we share from the comfort and safety of your home.
