ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reports to: Library Director
SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director works closely with the Library Director to maintain and develop outstanding library services, oversee facilities, and manage staff. Assumes Director’s responsibilities in their absence.
Responsibilities include:
- Training and supervising staff
- Collection development, including selection, weeding and merchandising of materials
- Program development, evaluation, and publicity
- Interacting with patrons and community groups
- Assisting in the daily operation of the library
- Maintenance of website
- Maintenance of statistical data and preparation of annual reports
- All other work as assigned.

Requirements:
- Masters degree in Library and Information Science from an accredited program
- 3 years supervisory/ team building experience in a library setting
Position is 40 hours per week on-site.
